Tips & Suggestions

Welcome to my blog. I have just started couponing about 3 weeks ago. So far things are going pretty good. Being in rural WI there isn't many stores around and only one that does double coupon days twice a week so I am limited to the deals and not as many sales as the bigger areas. I will share with you any deals I find so you can Share in the Deals.

First off I would suggest starting out watching couponing videos. I learned a lot from those who have been doing it for a long time. I really love the Krazy Coupon Lady, Southern Savers, and Living Poor. You can find more wonderful videos on youtube that help you learn how to find the deals. I will be highlighting those in our area.

Once you get an idea on what you will be looking for you will want to keep a look out for coupons. The Marshfield News Herald has coupon inserts in their paper every Saturday and Sunday. It will state right on the front left top corner how much dollars worth of coupons are in the paper. When there isn't a lot I just get one paper. Otherwise if the dollar amount is high I will get 2-3 papers. You can get as many as you like depending on how far you want to take it. You can also subscribe and get the papers at a lower cost. You will also need the paper to check the sales so you will be able to utilize your coupons to their fullest.

Another great place to look for coupons is Coupons.com it is free and you can print out up to 2 coupons per computer. Depending on the day you print the coupon the will depend on the expiration date. I would suggest only printing out the ones you will be using when you need them. New coupons are added daily so you will want to keep checking it to see if they have new ones you would like to use.

You can also like the most of the companies on Facebook and they will have coupons available also. Or check out their website and see if they have any available. Writing the company a complaint or compliment can also get them to send you coupons for items.

As you can see there are a lot of different ways to get coupons. There are many more ways that I will talk about at later times.

I like to cut my coupons and keep then in a binder. I use baseball card pages to organize them. I sort them by department or catergory so I can easily find them while shopping. You never know when you find a great deal, so I always have my binder with me. This is totally up to you how you want to do it. I will share what has been working for me so far.

Please feel free to let me know if you find any deals out there also that I may have missed. I will share with you what I find.

Another thing you would want to do is check with your store coupon policy so you know what you can do.

Central WI Store Policies

The following are the store policies for the stores I will feature the most.

Pick N Save

Every Wednesday & Saturday you can save 100% more on manufacturers’ coupons. The manufacturer gives you a deal, and we double it. You must present your Roundy’s Rewards Card at the time of checkout to double manufacturer coupon values. Your transaction must be $25 before tax and after all store coupons and Roundy’s club card discounts are applied. You can redeem up to 5 manufacturers' coupons (with values up to $1 each). That’s up to $5 in savings!
